On Wednesday, October 21, 2026, a group from Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group (CC&L) swapped the end of their workday for an hour with the puppies. About twenty colleagues, joined by the two coordinators who organised the event, came to our Vancouver studio at 4-52 Powell Street, in Gastown, for a private Puppy Yoga session at 5:00 PM. The guests of honour: a litter of fluffy husky puppies.

From an idea to a booked session
The project started months earlier, as part of the company's health and wellness programme. The organisers first looked at hosting the session in their own downtown office, but the building's pet policy did not allow puppies, so they chose to come to our studio instead, which made things simple for everyone. Before booking, the committee sent a survey to staff to measure interest, and the answer was clear.
âOur survey had amazing feedback, we had 74 staff members express interest in a puppy yoga session!â
â Liza, event coordinator at CC&L
Since it was their very first puppy event, the team chose to start with one session in a late-afternoon slot, so colleagues could come straight from the office after work.

How the hour went
The session followed our usual Puppy Yoga format. It opened with 30 minutes of gentle, beginner-friendly yoga led by a certified instructor, a nice way to stretch and leave the workday behind. Then the huskies joined the room for 15 minutes of yoga with puppies wandering freely between the mats, followed by 15 minutes of play, cuddles and photos. Our hostesses and the breeder were on the floor the whole time, making sure every puppy was handled gently and had water and rest breaks.

Huskies are curious and playful, and these ones went from mat to mat to inspect shoelaces, water bottles and outstretched hands. By the last part of the hour, phones were out everywhere, and colleagues who had only ever crossed paths in the office hallways were laughing together on the floor. A few hours before the session, the coordinator wrote to us: âLooking forward to seeing you all soon!â We hope it was the first of many.

Why companies book puppy yoga
Teams book Pups&Yoga for wellness months, team building, onboarding and end-of-year celebrations. It is easy for organisers: you choose a date, we take care of the puppies, the instructor, the mats and the set-up, and your colleagues just show up in comfortable clothes. Larger teams can be split over several sessions, or choose Puppy Playtime, a no-yoga format where small groups take turns in a secure puppy area.
