Last updated: October 1, 2026
These terms apply to every private event booked with Pups&Yoga (the operating entity depends on the location: 9508-4828 Québec Inc. in Canada, PUPS AND YOGA LLC in the United States), hereinafter “Pups&Yoga”. The person or organization booking the event is the “Client”. Version française.
By making the first payment for the event, or by issuing a purchase order, the Client confirms having read and accepted these terms, on their own behalf and on behalf of all participants. No separate signature is required.
Bookings confirmed before October 1, 2026 remain governed by the terms in force when their deposit was paid.
1. Event details
The details of the event (type, date, location, start time, estimated number of participants, total price and payment schedule) are those stated in our written confirmation and on the invoice.
2. Booking and payment
2.1 Confirming the date
- The event date is not reserved until the payment described below has been received or, for an organization, until its purchase order has been received.
- Pups&Yoga operates on a first-paid, first-confirmed basis.
- Availability remains subject to scheduling and staffing confirmation.
2.2 Individuals
When the event is booked by an individual (birthday, bachelorette or bachelor party, family or friends gathering, and any booking that is not invoiced to an organization), the full price is payable at booking.
2.3 Companies, schools and organizations
- Without a purchase order: a 50% deposit is payable at booking. The remaining 50% balance is due no later than seven (7) days before the event.
- With a purchase order: the purchase order, received before the event date, confirms the booking in place of the deposit. A single invoice for the full price is issued, payable within thirty (30) days of the invoice date and no later than thirty (30) days after the event.
- A booking made less than seven (7) days before the event is payable in full at booking, unless it is covered by a purchase order.
2.4 Late payment
If a payment due before the event has not been received on time, Pups&Yoga may delay the session, or treat the booking as cancelled by the Client, in which case section 3.2 applies.
3. Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds
3.1 Why this schedule exists
When a private event is confirmed, Pups&Yoga blocks the date, removes its public classes from sale for that time slot, and books the team and the puppies’ breeder. The closer the event, the less of this can be recovered. The schedule below reflects that, and it is the same for every Client.
3.2 Cancellation by the Client
The schedule is calculated on the total price of the event:
- More than ten (10) days before the event: nothing is retained. Any amount paid is refunded in full.
- Between ten (10) and seven (7) days before the event: 50% of the total price is retained, or remains payable. Any amount paid above that is refunded.
- Less than seven (7) days before the event: 100% of the total price is retained, or remains payable.
This schedule applies whatever has been paid at the time of cancellation, including when the booking was confirmed by a purchase order. A cancellation must be sent in writing to event@pupsandyoga.com; its date is the date we receive it.
Rather than cancel, the Client can move the event to another date under section 3.3.
3.3 Rescheduling
- At least seven (7) days before the event: the Client may move the event to another date free of charge, once. The new date must fall within six (6) months of the original date and is subject to availability.
- Less than seven (7) days before the event: a rescheduling fee of 25% of the total price applies, payable before the new date is confirmed.
- Less than forty-eight (48) hours before the event: rescheduling is no longer possible and section 3.2 applies.
After a reschedule, the amounts paid are carried over to the new date, and the cancellation schedule in section 3.2 continues to be calculated from the original event date.
3.4 Cancellation by Pups&Yoga
If Pups&Yoga has to cancel an event for a reason other than force majeure, the Client chooses between a new date and a full refund of all amounts paid.
3.5 Force majeure
Neither party shall be liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to government restrictions, natural disasters, extreme weather, and illness affecting staff or animal welfare. In such cases the parties will attempt to reschedule; if that is not possible, the amounts paid will be refunded minus non-recoverable costs.
4. Headcount
- The final headcount must be confirmed at least 48 hours prior to the event.
- No reduction applies for fewer participants.
- Additional participants may incur additional charges and may be limited for safety reasons.
5. Event structure
Standard 60-minute Puppy Yoga format: 20 minutes of yoga, 20 minutes of yoga with puppies, 20 minutes of interaction and photos.
Private Puppy Playtime: the Puppy Playtime experience is designed as an open, rotating puppy interaction rather than a structured yoga class. Participants enter the puppy area in small groups and rotate throughout the event, allowing everyone to enjoy quality time with the puppies while ensuring their comfort and welfare. Pups&Yoga staff supervise all interactions and schedule regular puppy breaks for rest, hydration and reset.
Adjustments to the event format may be made upon request or as reasonably required for operational or animal welfare purposes.
6. Children
- Minimum age for private events: 6 years old.
- All children must be accompanied and supervised.
- If the event consists primarily of children, at least two (2) responsible adults must be present at all times.
Pups&Yoga reserves the right to modify or stop the session if supervision is deemed insufficient.
7. Safety and behavior
Participants must follow all staff instructions, behave calmly and respectfully, and interact safely with the puppies.
Strictly prohibited: rough handling, chasing, loud or aggressive behavior, and unsafe movements.
Pups&Yoga may remove participants, or modify or stop the event. No refund will be issued in such cases.
8. Food
Food is not allowed near the puppies, and is only permitted after the session if approved.
9. Off-site events
For off-site events, Pups&Yoga provides all equipment and materials required to operate the experience, including (as applicable): puppies, a certified yoga instructor (for Puppy Yoga events), event staff, exercise pens and playpens, yoga mats (for Puppy Yoga events), puppy supplies and enrichment items, cleaning supplies, setup and cleanup.
The Client must provide a clean and safe environment; adequate indoor or outdoor space suitable for the event; proper ventilation and/or appropriate weather protection for outdoor events; and reasonable access for loading and unloading equipment.
Additional fees may apply for travel, extended setup requirements, or venues requiring special accommodations.
10. Liability and waiver
10.1 Nature of the activity
The Client acknowledges that the event involves interaction with live animals. While puppies are supervised and well-socialized, animals are inherently unpredictable. Minor incidents may occur, including light scratches, minor nipping, allergic reactions, and slips or falls. These are considered inherent risks.
10.2 Assumption of risk
Participation is voluntary. Participants accept all inherent risks associated with animal interaction and light physical activity.
10.3 Release of liability
By confirming the booking, the Client (and all participants) agree to release and hold harmless Pups&Yoga from any claims arising from the normal and inherent risks of the activity.
However, nothing in these terms excludes liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct or intentional wrongdoing. Pups&Yoga remains responsible for maintaining reasonable safety standards.
10.4 Acknowledgment of waiver
The Client confirms that, by confirming the booking, all participants are deemed to have accepted this waiver, and that no additional waiver is required unless specified.
10.5 Personal belongings
Pups&Yoga is not responsible for lost or damaged items unless caused by gross negligence.
10.6 Venue responsibility (off-site)
Pups&Yoga is not responsible for normal wear and tear, or for minor effects related to animal presence, unless caused by gross negligence.
10.7 Participant damage
The Client is responsible for damage caused by participants.
11. Media consent
Pups&Yoga may capture content (photos and videos) during the event unless a written refusal is provided.
12. No guarantee of breed
The puppy breed is not guaranteed and depends on availability, ethical sourcing and welfare standards.
13. Entire agreement
These terms, together with our written confirmation and the invoice, constitute the entire agreement between the Client and Pups&Yoga for the event.
