These terms apply to every private event booked with Pups&Yoga (the operating entity depends on the location: 9508-4828 Québec Inc. in Canada, PUPS AND YOGA LLC in the United States), hereinafter “Pups&Yoga”. The person or organization booking the event is the “Client”.
By paying the deposit invoice, the Client confirms having read and accepted these terms, on their own behalf and on behalf of all participants. No separate signature is required.
1. Event details
The details of the event (type, date, location, start time, estimated number of participants, total price, deposit and remaining balance) are those stated in our written confirmation and on the deposit invoice.
2. Booking and payment
2.1 Deposit
- A 50% deposit is required to secure a private event booking.
- The event date is not reserved until the deposit is received.
- Pups&Yoga operates on a first-paid, first-confirmed basis.
- Availability remains subject to scheduling and staffing confirmation.
2.2 Remaining balance
The remaining 50% balance is due prior to the event, and no later than three (3) days before the scheduled event date. A final invoice will be issued in advance.
Failure to complete payment prior to the event may result in a delay of the session, or in cancellation at Pups&Yoga’s discretion.
3. Cancellations and refunds
3.1 Cancellation by the Client
The deposit is refundable based on the following schedule:
- More than ten (10) days before the event: 100% of the deposit is refunded.
- Between ten (10) and seven (7) days before the event: 50% of the deposit is refunded.
- Less than seven (7) days before the event: the deposit is fully retained by Pups&Yoga.
3.2 Rescheduling
The Client may request to reschedule the event at any time, subject to availability. Pups&Yoga will make reasonable efforts to accommodate a new date. If rescheduling is not possible, the cancellation policy above applies.
3.3 Force majeure
Neither party shall be liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to government restrictions, natural disasters, extreme weather, and illness affecting staff or animal welfare. In such cases the parties will attempt to reschedule; if that is not possible, the deposit will be refunded minus non-recoverable costs.
4. Headcount
- The final headcount must be confirmed at least 48 hours prior to the event.
- No reduction applies for fewer participants.
- Additional participants may incur additional charges and may be limited for safety reasons.
5. Event structure
Standard 60-minute Puppy Yoga format: 20 minutes of yoga, 20 minutes of yoga with puppies, 20 minutes of interaction and photos.
Private Puppy Playtime: the Puppy Playtime experience is designed as an open, rotating puppy interaction rather than a structured yoga class. Participants enter the puppy area in small groups and rotate throughout the event, allowing everyone to enjoy quality time with the puppies while ensuring their comfort and welfare. Pups&Yoga staff supervise all interactions and schedule regular puppy breaks for rest, hydration and reset.
Adjustments to the event format may be made upon request or as reasonably required for operational or animal welfare purposes.
6. Children
- Minimum age for private events: 6 years old.
- All children must be accompanied and supervised.
- If the event consists primarily of children, at least two (2) responsible adults must be present at all times.
Pups&Yoga reserves the right to modify or stop the session if supervision is deemed insufficient.
7. Safety and behavior
Participants must follow all staff instructions, behave calmly and respectfully, and interact safely with the puppies.
Strictly prohibited: rough handling, chasing, loud or aggressive behavior, and unsafe movements.
Pups&Yoga may remove participants, or modify or stop the event. No refund will be issued in such cases.
8. Food
Food is not allowed near the puppies, and is only permitted after the session if approved.
9. Off-site events
For off-site events, Pups&Yoga provides all equipment and materials required to operate the experience, including (as applicable): puppies, a certified yoga instructor (for Puppy Yoga events), event staff, exercise pens and playpens, yoga mats (for Puppy Yoga events), puppy supplies and enrichment items, cleaning supplies, setup and cleanup.
The Client must provide a clean and safe environment; adequate indoor or outdoor space suitable for the event; proper ventilation and/or appropriate weather protection for outdoor events; and reasonable access for loading and unloading equipment.
Additional fees may apply for travel, extended setup requirements, or venues requiring special accommodations.
10. Liability and waiver
10.1 Nature of the activity
The Client acknowledges that the event involves interaction with live animals. While puppies are supervised and well-socialized, animals are inherently unpredictable. Minor incidents may occur, including light scratches, minor nipping, allergic reactions, and slips or falls. These are considered inherent risks.
10.2 Assumption of risk
Participation is voluntary. Participants accept all inherent risks associated with animal interaction and light physical activity.
10.3 Release of liability
By paying the deposit, the Client (and all participants) agree to release and hold harmless Pups&Yoga from any claims arising from the normal and inherent risks of the activity.
However, nothing in these terms excludes liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct or intentional wrongdoing. Pups&Yoga remains responsible for maintaining reasonable safety standards.
10.4 Acknowledgment of waiver
The Client confirms that, by paying the deposit, all participants are deemed to have accepted this waiver, and that no additional waiver is required unless specified.
10.5 Personal belongings
Pups&Yoga is not responsible for lost or damaged items unless caused by gross negligence.
10.6 Venue responsibility (off-site)
Pups&Yoga is not responsible for normal wear and tear, or for minor effects related to animal presence, unless caused by gross negligence.
10.7 Participant damage
The Client is responsible for damage caused by participants.
11. Media consent
Pups&Yoga may capture content (photos and videos) during the event unless a written refusal is provided.
12. No guarantee of breed
The puppy breed is not guaranteed and depends on availability, ethical sourcing and welfare standards.
13. Entire agreement
These terms, together with our written confirmation and the invoice, constitute the entire agreement between the Client and Pups&Yoga for the event.
